Gold and Greenery Rixey Manor Wedding
Meghan and Trevor hosted their Virginia wedding day at the historic Rixey Manor and St. John’s Catholic Church. They were surrounded by not only their friends and family, but also a 20 member bridal party, lush greenery and their fur baby, Seth. The day was full of special details, including Trevor’s suit, designed by Meghan (she’s also a Trunk Club designer) as well as a wedding invitation suite fit for royalty. We love how greenery accents could be found throughout the day. The incorporated greenery into all of their paper goods, their centerpieces and guest book. In addition, they even had rosemary tucked inside napkins with their menus. Carrying this theme throughout the day was such a great touch! How they met: Trevor and Meghan grew up 10 minutes from each other in Maryland, but their worlds did not collide until February 2015 at a 90s cover band concert in DC. It’s still up for debate who made the first move and started the conversation. A week later, Trevor asked Meghan on their first date. They went to a local Mexican restaurant that both had frequented separately dozens of times. The two quickly fell for each other. They enjoyed trying new restaurants, hanging with both of their families, taking trips, drinking red wine, listening to records and snuggling with Seth, the puppy Trevor adopted.
The proposal story: In August 2016, Trevor and Meghan traveled to Ithaca, NY for a Sieburgh family reunion. Meghan was excited for the usual trips to vineyards and swims in the pool; she never suspected that Trevor was going to ask her to be his wife. It was one of the happiest weekends of their lives. They spent the next few days with Trevor’s family and headed back to Maryland to celebrate with Meghan’s family.
