A butterfly kiss is a fresh, new, almost magical, flutter that warms your heart, soul and mind. This theme embodied the feeling, look and style of this modern mini matrimony styled shoot, which we affectionately dubbed “a minimony”. Our shoot was designed to capture the airy caress of intimacy, and a light pulse of love cascading. This DC wedding inspiration features a bold golden butterfly backdrop for the ceremony, surrounded by draping orchids and modern tulips, roses and hydrangeas on a chic table setting. The butterfly menus are so dreamy as they float above the custom baby blue table topper accompanied by black flatware. Overall, we think this shoot is just like a kiss; timeless and dreamy. In light of the new social distancing and weddings; today’s bohemian intimate DC wedding inspiration showcases how you can have a petite wedding while maintaining a theme you love! Having a smaller wedding or DC elopement doesn’t mean you have to give up your style or fun details! We encourage couples to embrace rich tones, textured linens and wild grasses to achieve this whimsical bohemian design. Couples looking for cool spaces to host their intimate weddings in the district are in luck! The district has an abundance of venues off the beaten path, like Engine Company 12, that host small DC weddings. For unique tabletop ideas, look no further than your grocery store. We chose apples for an unexpected approach to tie in a deep red and to serve as our place cards. Even with intimate weddings having a great group of wedding pro’s will keep everything stress!

We love the rich velvet textures and vintage wedding style brought together this epic Mount Ida wedding inspiration shoot! We are living for all the marigold and emerald colors. The team who created this styled wedding inspiration shoot wanted to embrace the vintage vibe while also fitting into the unique Mount Ida venue space. We love the abundant over flowing florals that encircled the sweetheart table by Sarena Floral Design. By having a vertical backdrop, this gives the smaller sized couple table grandeur in the middle of large spaces. Bet part is that it and can double as a portrait location for the newlyweds. Our typically unpopular opinion is that, magnolia leaves are one of the most underutilized greens for DC area weddings. We love their hearty texture, nod to classic southern foliage, and the depth they bring to bridal bouquets and centerpieces. Petals Edge Floral Design worked with our favorite greens, in todays emerald barn wedding inspiration shoot. The bride’s dense textured bouquet was perfect for the emerald wintery tones through this beautiful inspiration shoot. The team on this creative inspiration wanted to offer a more rich color story for winter brides who wanted an alternative to the traditional “holiday color stories” seen during the winter months. We love it! Thank you to D.A.M Fotografy for sharing this lovely inspiration shoot with us! Make sure to check out more Magnolia wedding inspiration in our archives if you love this look as much as we do.

Today’s ruby red later summer wedding inspiration was designed to showcase the shift from summer to early fall. The sunset tones that are visible throughout, including the stunny ruby accents, compliment the exquisite sunsets seen from the shore of Great Oak Manor, the Maryland wedding venue that served as the beautiful backdrop for this styled shoot. The elegant invitation suite, menus, and place cards feel both vintage and modern with elegant script and a custom monogram. We love that the suite is tied together with a silk ribbon; such a sweet, feminine touch that really elevates the whole set.
Long farmhouse tables were beautifully set with elegant crystal glasses & bohemian accents such as the charger plate and the velvet napkin tie. We adore the touches of pampas grass present in the lush centerpiece. They tie back to the sprig’s in the bride’s bouquet as well! It’s a great fall accent that gives the florals loads of texture and a little whimsy. The cake, a beautiful two toned ruby and white confection, included a floral accent. The gold flecks present on the leaves add to the endless unique and timeless elements of the shoot. Talk about picturesque! The design of this shoot was inspired by the natural surroundings and gorgeous views of the venue. The soft color palette of coral and blush hues incorporated the tablescape beautifully into into the other elements of the shoot such as the wedding gown, florals, and the most adorable vintage mobile bar caravan with big personality. Today’s styled shoot embodies the soft beauty of a Renaissance inspired design. The Virginia wedding venue had impeccable architecture with a double curved staircase leading out onto the patio centered by a beautiful stone fountain. A long table sat on the porch covered with soft tulle and an array of flowers. The fine china was topped with a place card and macaron. Macaron’s are always a wedding favor favorite of ours! The blue glass goblets and flower vases added a punch of color to the table that we adore! An elegant invitation suite added a final touch to the romantic Renaissance inspired look. Some of our favorite details of the day would have to be the wreath Mr and Mrs chair signs and the champagne tower! Such fun little pops of personality.
To round out the shoot, the bride was dressed in a lace-bodice deep-V Maggie Sottero dress complete with a bright blue sapphire earrings and ring. She wore a bright red lip and sweeping curls to frame her face. Thank you to David Abel Weddings for sharing this blue wedding inspiration with us today!

Today’s styled shoot is one of our favorites! It’s elegant, vibrant and stunning and the rich greens and the bright whites make it pop off the screen. The gold gives it the perfect amount of sparkle and the balloon installation adds a bit of whimsy. One of our favorite details of this emerald green wedding inspiration would have to be the cloth calligraphy table runner. It’s such a unique piece for a wedding day and it’s a great way to add a personal touch to your design.
