Coronavirus forced Hannah and Casey to postpone their Cancun destination wedding until 2021, but they chose to tie the knot in front of a handful of loved ones on their original date this year. A family member’s home in northern Virginia was the perfect location for the low-key ceremony. Their friends and family jumped in to help make the day special. The groom’s mother made a “naked” marble cake with cream cheese icing, a raspberry filling, chocolate drizzle and topped it with fresh fruit and flowers while the bride created all of her own bouquets and small centerpieces from Costco flowers. And, as an added nostalgic touch the bride’s veil was used as the base of the bouquet to hold it together. Such a sweet tribute!
Hannah and Casey shared a first look (with their family watching eagerly!), a first dance to their favorite Luke Combs song, and were toasted by their fathers to kick off the mini reception. Friends and family who couldn’t be there in person joined in via Zoom – something we’re sure will be a staple at weddings throughout the remainder of 2020!
