Tented President Lincoln’s Cottage Wedding
April 30, 2020 Tabitha

Olivia and Eric hosted their President Lincoln’s Cottage wedding on the venue’s historic grounds known today as the Armed Forces Retirement Home. It was a casual yet elegant affair. It felt like a private home wedding held at this historic venue once was a retreat for the notable president. Olivia wore her grandmother’s veil, and a veil that has been worn by many women in the family. The stunning cathedral length veil with a lace trim was the perfect accessory to her simple yet elegant BHLDN gown. For flowers, Sidra Forman sourced locally grown blooms and created centerpieces from Queen Anne’s Lace as a nod to where the bride grew up on the Eastern Shore. They also chose to infuse the celebration with loved foods they grew up with. Oysters and crab cakes from the shore, barbecue as a nod to where they both went to college in Memphis. And after the ceremony, Eric sabered a bottle of Champagne with a saber that belonged to Olivia’s father. So many wonderfully thoughtful touches and we appreacite Margo of Bright Occasions for sharing them with us today.

The following Washington DC wedding professionals contributed to this President Lincoln’s Cottage wedding :
