Nick and Rachel met while working in the Sandy Spring Bank drive-thru. Rachel worked there on her summer and winter breaks from college, and the two had a lot of time to get to know each other on the nights that they closed the branch together. Although Rachel had been seeing someone during most of the time they worked together but on the night of her last shift she asked Nick out; she just knew she needed to see him again. The pair dated the next six years, traveled to seven countries together, and adopted two kitties. One night in August they were walking on the beach in Ocean City and came across a heart made out of candles and rose petals inside spelling ‘will you marry me’. Both of their families were there, and Nick proposed right as the sun started to set. Talk about an adorable proposal!
Rachel always thought they would elope or have a small intimate wedding, but the second she was engaged she said she “wanted to start planning the dream wedding I never knew I wanted.” The two initially looked into modern/industrial venues, but then fell in love with the rustic charm of Shadow Creek. They wanted the overall vibe to feel romantic, but laid back and fun, a feeling we think they nailed. We are obsessed with the hanging hoops above their sweetheart table. The second she saw those beams she knew she wanted to have some type of floral arrangement hang from them. The hoops is such a great idea and, according to Rachel, super budget conscious. Thank you to SRS Events for sharing this beautiful dusty rose boho wedding with us today!
