When asked for three words that would describe their wedding, Katie and Rhett said romantic, elegant, and fun! Based on this submission by Elizabeth Fogarty Photography we have to agree! It loooks like these two and their wedding party (check out the number of bridesmaids and groomsmen they have!) had a blast! Following an interfaith ceremony with both a priest and a rabbi, guests made their way to Congressional Country Club where they were greeted with signature cocktails and a super elegant wedding reception. Their florals were an amazing wow factor and were made up of white and blush pink florals with abundant greenery throughout. To keep guests comfortable, the bride and groom even supplied blankets to combat the chilly temperatures outside.
Rhett and Katie met in 2016 at Martin’s Tavern. Katie went out with some friends for a night on the town. Rhett was in his third year of residency and was hosting his sister Elyse, who was in town visiting. After leaving an engagement party, Rhett and Elyse made a spur of the moment decision to check out Martin’s. Rhett approached Katie at the bar and struck up a conversation. He eventually asked her if she wanted to dance. She thought it was super cute and loved his confidence and the two have pretty much been inseparable ever since. And if you don’t know, Martin’s Tavern is allegedly the place where JFK proposed to Jackie! Romance is in the walls at that iconic DC establishment!
