The iron railings at The Manor at Airmont reminded the team behind today’s modern meets traditional wedding inspiration of the charm and easy grace of the South and the historic elegance of Savannah, GA. Drawing from this inspiration, they cultivated design elements that resonated with the couple and items that they would have held near and dear, having been handed down through the generations. Vintage plates from the bride’s mother’s table, heirloom jewelry passed down from her grandmother, cuff links from a great uncle and classic trays & champagne coupes that played host to many happy hours at the groom’s family home. Each of these elements comes together to convey authentic charm, infusing their special day with heritage and family tradition, all with a nod to their Southern roots.
The wedding tablescape has to be one of our favorite parts of this styled shoot. The tablescape pairs clean, modern lines with a timeless vintage appeal for a simply chic, polished look. A wonderfully weathered iron-framed garden table is softened by a flowing ivory table runner, while black bentwood chairs provide the perfect curved lines to balance the look. On the tabletop, blush chargers and ivory dinner plates are complemented by vintage salad plates with chinoiserie flower details. Soft gray linen napkins are tucked into crisp white porcelain napkin rings delicately shaped like magnolia blossoms. Modern handmade gold-plated flatware dipped in black, vintage etched crystal glassware and gold-rimmed champagne coupes all combine to carry gold accents from table to glass.
Further drawing out accents of crisp black and gold, our iron candlesticks and gold compotes create the perfect juxtaposition to breathtaking floral arrangements. Peonies and white Mikoto garden roses provide a lush and aromatic allure accented by the dramatic, black-hearted anemones. Subtle blush and purple hues found in the arrangement marry the blend of colors throughout the tablescape to stunning effect. Thank you to Weddings By Hana for sharing today’s inspiration with us!
