Today’s peachy keen Southern wedding inspiration is truly unique in that it was born from the photographer’s own upbringing and childhood. We adore the organically styled florals with vintage and classy table details. The ranunculus, garden roses, poppies and other beautiful florals mixed well with the details and decor. The tablescape features gold chargers, blush napkins, and a peach runner and the placed a peach at each seat really ties all of the inspiration together!
The wedding cake, designed my Blue Lace Cakes is an absolute masterpiece, complete with fondant peaches, a branch of a peach tree and the fresh new blooms of peach. This three tiered cake consisted of a bourbon vanilla sponge, bourbon peach compote and vanilla buttercream and fondant. It truly screams peachy keen! Because of the unique ties to the photographer’s background, we thought it best that she describe the full inspiration behind this styled shoot in her own words. From Rebecca Sigety Photography: “Everything is Peachy Keen!” These were the words my absolutely charming and elegant Grandmother, Betty Mae, said to me every day as a child; words that deeply rooted my southern upbringing. Raised a ‘Georgia Peach’, my connection to my southern roots is truly a part of who I am and my inspiration for this wedding shoot.
A Virginia transplant, I yearn for the memories of my youth, the long summer days, the warm summer nights, the juice of fresh picked peaches running down my chin as we got a taste of the first harvest of the season. Abigail and Thomas were the most joyful couple. Abigail was outfitted in a stunning blush gown by Grace and Ivory with hair and makeup done by Beautiful Dream Team. Thomas’ navy blue suit and blush tie perfectly complimented his bride’s attire. Perhaps my favorite part of the day was the hand drawn and painted invitations, maps, menus. These details were crafted by Cassie Creative, a local Virginia artist, and truly tied each part of the wedding day together. I hope the images and inspiration of this wedding day remind you of simple southern elegance while connecting you to warm summer nights and the first tastes of fresh fruit at the beginning of a season.
