The venue for today’s sweet Virginia anniversary session is so unique! What could be better than hosting your anniversary or DC engagement photos on a beautiful plantation porch?! It’s almost like being at home! We are loving this idea and are looking forward to this new trend of “at home” sessions, even if it isn’t your own home. Thank you to Jessica Green Photography for sharing this session with us today!
Tyler and Katee met on the first day of Katee’s very first job. They both worked at Great Wold Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. He was an Arcade Lead and she had just started as a lifeguard. While standing in the employee lunch line Katee could hear two voices walking up. When she turned around she had to double take! According to her, “Jesus was standing right behind me – I kid you not!” Tyler had the longest hair a decade ago. Looking at him in these photos, we could’ve imagine it!
At that point, Katee mentioned something about the weather and made a quick escape back to the lunch room. She then gushed to a friend about how she had just met her future husband. About a week later the same friend called Katee because she was at the same party as Tyler. She got his number for Katee and the rest is history!
Tell us about your attire choices. Knowing the venue we chose had a natural and airy vibe we went with very neutral colors (gray and green) for our family photos. During our most recent pregnancy we found out we had lost one of our twins close to half way through the pregnancy. Coping with the loss was not easy and I managed to gain just over 60lbs from stress eating. After having a healthy daughter, Kharrington, I went on a mission to loose the weight and right before this session I had just hit my 45lb lost mark.
Our wedding day was only 1 month after having Kharrington and needless to say I wanted to *shine* during this anniversary session vs. looking back on photos and not being happy with the girl I saw and once was. I decided to rent a gorgeous red dress from Rent The Runway for the first time to show off my success and purchased a gorgeous bouquet made by or florist from our wedding because… once a bride, always a bride! As for my husband… He goes along with whatever I pick out of the closet. He’s such a *yes* man!
