Today’s art deco inspired Baltimore wedding hosted at the Mt. Washington Mill-Dye House was full of emotion and energy! Lauren and Brennan wanted to venue to be able to speak for itself, and they found that in the Mt. Washington Mill-Dye House. It was important that their Maryland wedding venue have three separate spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception. As soon as they walked in, they knew it was the one. They created the perfect 1920s feel in their overall wedding design and we’re excited to share it with you today.
The aesthetic that these two lovebirds went for was a 1920’s glam vibe with bohemian touches. Although the original design plan started out as bohemian only, once Lauren found her dress things began to change. Isn’t she just a dream in her art deco inspired gown?! She found she wanted to incorporate more vintage pieces and make the wedding a little more formal after that. From there, the two decided on shades of light blue instead of trying to make every blue match perfectly. They wanted it to look relaxed and carefree but still be cohesive. We think their nailed their vision! Thank you to Bee Two Sweet for sharing this Baltimore wedding with us today.
Tell us your proposal story. I came home late from work. We host a big Christmas party every year and we were only weeks away so our planning and organizing was in full force. When I finally got home Brennan had decorated our entire apartment and told me he had gotten me shoes for the party.
I opened the box there were a dozen roses in it with the ring sitting right on top. When I looked over he was on one knee asking me to marry him. I was completely shocked. He had managed to buy the ring and plan his proposal all without me having any clue. Our little apartment was the perfect place to propose too; it’s in this historic town that we have always wanted to live in. And we always felt so lucky to find a place we love and got to call our first home together.
