This Frederick, Maryland wedding shoot at Dulany’s Overlook was inspired by local flower farms, celebrating all the unique, lush flowers they grow. The Maryland floral designer who helped create this shoot, Blair of Sweet Blossoms, really prioritizes local flowers and supporting flower farms. For this shoot, she partnered with three local farms: Plantmasters, Petal Patch Flower Farms, and Tierra Blooms. Supporting local farms aids small businesses and the local economy while also reducing your carbon footprint. It also allows your flowers to last longer! And what could be better than long lasting beautiful blooms?
Many of the flowers in this shoot are bi-colored, which adds a hint of whimsy. And a lot of the greenery used is unknown to people outside of the industry. This makes it visually intriguing as it’s not something you see everyday! The gorgeous pink branches are even cuttings from a tree. How cool is that? These elements aren’t usually asked for by clients, but they are elements your DC area florist likely knows about and can use if given some artistic license. Find vendors you can trust; and then allow them to provide suggestions or take the lead on some of your ideas! Thank you to Brielle Davis Events for sharing this lovely pastel floral wedding inspiration with us today!
