Fall Inspired Virginia Manor Wedding
January 24, 2018 Tabitha

We are really excited about the partnerships that we have coming this year with our favorite DC wedding vendors! Did you catch our roundup of talented and trustworthy options we shared yesterday? Keep an eye out as we will be sharing new wedding vendors with you every week to assist in your DC wedding planning ideas!

Today we are bringing you a fall Fredericksburg Virginia Manor wedding. This wedding is full of personal DIY wedding details and beautiful portrait landscapes. The couple, Kate and Matt, chose their Fredericksburg Virginia wedding venue location for its historical significance. The first look and several portraits were taken in front of the property’s witness tree which was used by General Robert E. Lee as a place to tie his horse “Traveller” the morning of the First Battle of Fredericksburg. Our region is full of so many historical landmarks and moments in history; it’s wonderful when a couple embraces those significant moments and incorporates them into their wedding! Don’t you think?

Braehead served as both the getting ready spot and the reception venue for the wedding party. But before the party could start at the reception, the two were married at nearby Christ Lutheran Church. They arrived to and from via trolley for a cute small town touch. In addition to a fall color palette of navy blue, gold, burgundy and orange, the wedding featured many DIY details. We love how crafty Kate was! She created custom glasses for the bridal party, escort cards, table numbers and cuff links for the groom and father of the bride. Thank you to Hart of Grace Photography for sharing this Fredericksburg Virginia Manor wedding with us today!
