What a wonderful holiday break! Did everyone had a great weekend full of family and fun? We are excited to share a beautiful National Museum of Women in the Arts Jewish DC Wedding with you today! We love everything about their day from the branch adorned willow Chuppah to the watercolor DC wedding invitations.
Washington DC has meant a lot to Amy and Harrison. It’s where they met three years ago, on a beautiful and warm Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Set up by mutual friends, these two instantly hit it off against the backdrop of the nation’s capital. They quickly discovered how much they both love to travel and uncover the history of a city. What better way to do this than by wandering through it discovering its museums and local flavor. In the spring of 2016, while on a long-awaited trip to Macchu Picchu, they found themselves overlooking the ocean at El Parque del Amore; all of a sudden Harrison was down on one knee! Fast-forward through the planning, the bride and groom’s love for Washington was a beautiful focal point as they designed their wedding day.
They did their First Look at the War Memorial, and later moved to the Jefferson Memorial for another round of portraits. DC definitely offers up some stunning backdrops and if you are able to have the time and get the permits we love when couples take DC memorial wedding photos! Their photographer, Caroline Lima, said that she loved when Amy got off the shuttle for the First Look; the tourists visiting the monument all stopped to see her, as she was stunning in her classic gown. From the Ketubah signing to a special toast during the reception by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, the day was filled with special heartfelt moments. A big thank you to Caroline Lima Photography for sharing this lovely Womens Museum Jewish DC wedding!
