Bridal Market Trends and Recap!
October 19, 2017 Tabitha

We had such an amazing long weekend in New York! We spent time checking out all of the new 2018 Bridal fashion collections from our favorite gown and accessory designers. I am so thankful I don’t have to pick between the oodles of beauties put in front of us because honestly, it was one amazing silhouette or detail after another! You do not want to miss these 2018 bridal collections!

From modern fit and flair gowns by Caroline Castigliano to the ethereal detailing of Claire Pettibone, we can’t get enough. Because of this, we are sharing our favorite looks experienced over the week! If you want to know how to find any of these gorgeous gowns, DC Bridal salons are listed under each designer. Also, check our DC Bridal Trunk Show calendar so you don’t miss when full collections are in town. We have so many great bridal salons in the area. They bring in beautiful designers on the regular.

Don’t forget to come back tomorrow to see a romantic Middleburg engagement session sent specially to us through Matchology. Also, next week, you don’t want to miss our second installment of Bridal Market Trends!

Berta Bridal

Beading, sparkle, and dripping in drama! This collection is always one of our favorites. It’s sure to stun and wow every single time. You can find Berta locally at Carine’s Atelier in Georgetown. Thank you Bowen Films for a video look into the 2018 runway presentation.

Maria Elena Headpieces

We were able to preview precious stone adorned necklaces, earrings, headpieces, and beautiful religious accessories. Perfect for a one off statement piece or a show stopping headpiece for the reception! Maria Elena is sold via direct retail, Carine’s Bridal and Riziks in DC.

Caroline Castigliano

The UK based designer mixes classic silhouettes with lace applique detailing and tailored lines. We are seeing an emergence of 90s inspired scoop necklines and oversized floral detailing. Caroline Castigliano bridal can be found at Riziks and Ellie’s Bridal in Virginia. These designs are perfect for a classic bride.

Sarah Jassir

This bridal collection spoke to us on so many levels! Each gown felt unique and fresh, creating their own level of drama! One included below has a detachable train which we absolutely LOVE for a reception dress change up! Found at Soliloquy in Virginia, don’t miss this collection!

Claire Pettibone

The 2018 collection is aptly named Vagabond. It combines layers of tulle, sheer fabrics, floral detailing, and the most ethereal colors. This line is a collection that fits in with the DC bride looking for romance, boho, and drama. Unfortunately not carried in DC stores, NYC and through direct sales are options for brides in love with this look!

Casablanca Bridal

More traditional in cut and design, their 2018 collection embodied the trends. With slimmer strap lines, embellished beaded detailing, and layers of flowing fitted skirts that showed movement, we see these looking perfect twirling on any dance floor. We love this collection for the traditional DC bride who wants a little glam to go with her wedding attire! You can find Casablanca at White Swan Bridal in Virginia and Serendipity in Maryland.
