Mike and Alisha fell in love in part due to a shared affinity for geography and travel. Between the two of them, they have a pretty good collection of passport stamps, and have shared some amazing international adventures together, including the trip to Italy and France where they got engaged. Because travel is so important to them and their love story, they wanted to integrate the theme into their big day. We think they did a great job cultivating a subtle vintage travel vibe throughout their Woodend Sanctuary wedding.
The couple opted to include a bunch of fun DIY elements into their travel themed wedding. This included table assignments based on some of their favorite destinations, place cards designed to look like vintage travel tickets, a guestbook made of postcards from international locales, and a map-and-compass-themed invitation suite. It is great to see that the details reflected their passion for the world! We think all of their handcrafted details fit in beautifully with the tablescapes complete with pretty linens and amazing chairs from DC Rentals. The whole day really represented who they are as individuals and as a couple. Thank you to Mike and Alisha for sharing their romantic travel inspired wedding with us today!
