Sarah & Eric met in 2011 in DC, lived separately in Charlottesville & Nashville in 2015 and were then married on Gibson Island in 2016. This place holds a special place in their hearts because it is where the bride grew up and where they spent countless vacations. The ceremony took place outside overlooking the Chesapeake Bay while guests listened to music played by a jazz trio. They couple pulled shades of blue and accents of purple into their design plan, inspired by the venue and it’s surroundings. They also wanted to evoke the feeling of the water and they did so though watercolor paper products and calligraphed blue sea glass place cards.
We are in love with the couple’s use of blue. By opting for a punchy, bright blue as opposed to the navy and dark blues that we always see, this wedding came to life. We looove the bridesmaids bright blue robes that fit the theme perfectly! We also can’t overlook the stunning bride and the groom’s personalized blue suit! What a pair! This is impressive. Especially the capturing of the wedding details. The cake is simple but love how the purple flower made it pop.
