Emily, Daniel, and their photography Christa of Christa Rae Photography were immediately inspired by the cobblestone road of Prince Street in Alexandria when searching for the perfect spot to host the couple’s engagement session. Emily and Daniel met during their freshman year at York College of Pennsylvania and for years later, Daniel proposed to Emily by the water at Soloman’s Island. This spring, the two lovebirds traveled all over Old Town to capture the perfect shots to celebrate their engagement. Their first stop was the Carlyle House, which hosts a beautiful garden full of lush greenery with a historic backdrop! Post Carlyle House photos, the couple meandered over to Prince Street to feature the cobblestones that drew them to the area and the alleyway made for a romantic setting for the pair. Next it was on to the waterfront for some quick photos on the docks and then to the infamous Wilkes Street tunnel, where they wrapped up their session. Whew, they sure did walk all over, but boy are we glad because they captured some amazing photos that showcase their love for each other alongside all the historic city has to offer.
