Happy Monday! We hope you had a fun (and we are sure, HOT!) weekend. We are starting this week off with another lovely Fairmont D.C wedding from Kurstin Roe Photography. Michael and Stephanie met at Villanova University while volunteering as EMTs for the campus’ ambulance company. It was in 2011 they were living in New Jersey while Michael was attending medical school and Stephanie was working on her Master’s degree that their lives changed forever. Stephanie was hospitalized and ultimately diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a chronic neurodegenerative disease. Never deterred from a challenge, and unwavering in his commitment, Michael proposed to Stephanie just four days after her diagnosis on Villanova’s campus and promised that they would always be a team, just as they always had been. The couple says that their secret is to never take life too seriously and to always have each other’s backs. Stephanie and Michael viewed their wedding day as a chance to celebrate not only their love, but the people who have supported their relationship through thick and thin. They planned their DC ceremony and reception to be a celebration surrounded by their closest friends and family starting at Western Presbyterian church before heading to the Georgetown hotel for dinner and dancing. We love the bright, cheery springtime florals coupled with the light filled glass atrium and colonnade at the Fairmont Hotel. Thank you to Kurstin Roe Photography for sharing this joyous wedding with us!
