Continuing with our roundup of 2015’s best real wedding moments on United with Love, today we wanted to share our favorite details from ceremonies, the reception, and the bridal party! This was a hard group to gather, as we have had so many amazing details throughout the year. We loved how much life and color our vendors brought to each wedding, and we can not wait to see what 2016 brings for new trends and details that we can share with our readers.
Starting off the list is this colorful ombre ceremony aisle, lined with pink petals and a perfect monogram runner designed by Strawberry Milk Events! Using crisp white chiavari chairs to accent the pops of color, this is how you transform a ballroom at the Four Seasons Baltimore into a modern wedding oasis. (credit: Mary Brunst Photography)
For their tented Private home wedding, Erin and Austin served up their favorite brews in this awesome canoe. We loved that they kept to the feel and style of their wedding with this unique bar setup, which can easily be incorporated into any outdoor or rustic wedding. (credit: Love Knot Photo)
From the nautical napkin knot ties, to the unconventional sailboat centerpiece paired perfectly with sweet florals; we loved everything about this nautical maryland wedding. It can be challenging to have the perfect combination of design elements to achieve a theme without being cliche, and we really embraced all the small details inside this wedding! What we loved most about this romantic DC wedding at Andrew Mellon Auditorium with A. Dominick Events, was how you can pull out any number of the striking details and find inspiration for every budget. The kings table anchoring the room is a great alternative to break up a sea of round seating. Also, the arch of floral trees create height in an over sized space to help create an intimate setting. The wedding day doesn’t have to be the only place to showcase your personality when planning! We love when couples go all out at their other weekend activities, and this Arlington rehearsal dinner at Kapnos Taverna is no exception! The bright, colorful La Tavola linens paired with these adorable True Love signs made for a fun and festive pre-wedding treat for guests! (credit: Kurstin Roe Photography)
How romantic would it be to share your first dance under a sea of Geronimo Balloons? We loved everything about this simple yet elegant moment at Sam and Kate’s Meridian House wedding! (credit: Documentary Associates)
Any family fur babies in the bridal party are OK by us, and this little guy really stole the show at Ann and Matt’s Winter Wedding in Old Town Alexandria. Keeping with their bridal party florals, their puppy wore a greenery collar by Sweet Root Village and matching color coordinated lead. (Credit: K. Thompson Photography)
The soft draping in this Old Hollywood 1840’s Plaza wedding really took our breath away. We loved the romantic colors paired against the bridal parties blue gowns and soft cream florals from Mobtown Florals. The best part about this detail is that it can be recreated in almost any venue with the right draping team. (credit: Hamilton Photography)
Live Painters at weddings have become a huge trend in 2015, and we loved seeing this piece of art in progress from Jamie Peterson, in this Tudor Place Garden Inspirational Shoot. Hiring an artisan such as a painter or silhouette artist is a fun and interactive moment for guests at the wedding. (credit: Sweet Tea Photography)
Finishing off our favorite details roundup from 2015, is this truly unique tablescape from Intrigue Designs and Engaging Affairs from their Boho Chic Wedding Inspiration Shoot. Tables do not have to be subject to simple 5 foot rounds anymore with options such as kings size rectangles, X’s and O’s, and squares! We especially love the lush and textured ring of florals in the center to create depth and quite the talking piece over dinner! (credit: Carly Fuller Photography)
Thank you so much to all of our fantastic contributing vendors and couples who sent in their Real Weddings, Inspirational Shoots, and Parties in 2015. We are looking forward to 2016 and seeing what amazing new details our favorite DMV vendors create!
