Welcome back to part two of today’s romantic and relaxed wedding in Charlottesville! Kristin and Scott tied the knot at a relaxed rustic outdoor wedding ceremony in Charlottesville, Virginia at the gorgeous King Family Vineyards, where guests traveled from DC and around the country for their domestic destination wedding. In case you missed their stunning outdoor ceremony in between the rain clouds, be sure to check it out here. Once their vineyard wedding ceremony nestled in the picturesque Blue Ridge mountains was complete, wedding guests moved indoors for a wedding reception complete with lanterns as centerpieces and lots of rustic wedding details! The bride and groom enlisted the help of DC area wedding planners A. Dominick Events to bring their big wedding day details to life, which included creative wedding signs, chalkboard sweetheart chair treatments, and twinkle lights overhead to make the room sparkle. But, my favorite? The donut dessert truck and wedding favors! What a fun and playful way to end the evening…well, before a sparkler sendoff ,of course! A special thanks to Gabe Aceves for sharing Kristin and Scott’s rustic, elegant Washington DC area destination wedding photos with us!
From the bride: The wedding reception room looked beautiful. I loved the delicate glass bottles on the tables with the delicate arrangements of flowers in them. It was all so interesting to see, and it was special to just observe how our wedding day came together, based on the many individual decisions we had made over the past year in our wedding planning. I debated on renting bistro lights for the ceiling as we were planning, but I was so happy to see them light up our wedding reception room all evening.
The soccer team that brought Scott and I together was sponsored by a local DC area BBQ restaurant in Arlington, Virginia called Rocklands. When we couldn’t settle on what to serve at our wedding, Scott suggested we consider a familiar cuisine. It ended up feeling just right to serve BBQ Exchange and we received lots of compliments about how delicious the food was and the warm, welcoming atmosphere it created.
Our wedding was so much fun! Everyone danced all night. The music kept people on the dance floor, and the surprise of Carpe Donuts donut food truck was a real treat for our wedding guests. We felt so lucky. It was absolutely perfect! I’ve can’t remember ever having been surrounded by so many friends and loved ones in one place. We never wanted our wedding day to end!
Congratulations to Kristin and Scott! Thank you for sharing your stunning rustic elegant vineyard wedding in Virginia with us!
