Greg and Emily wed in a beautiful rustic garden setting for their Washington DC area wedding, which took place at Rust Manor & Nature Sanctuary in Leesburg. The couple held both their wedding ceremony and reception in the same location in Virginia. Their wedding day was filled with DIY details, all handmade with love from the help of family and friends. With the pretty gardens as not only the backdrop, but the inspiration, this bride and groom opted for a neutral wedding color palette (complete with picture perfect bridesmaid dresses and parasols!) and even some personal touches like a wedding sign. I’m obsessed with Emily’s flowy bridal gown and all of it’s stunning details. But, the flower girl and ring bearer at this wedding day may just be the best dressed in the bunch! Too cute for words! A special thanks to their wedding planner, Kim Newton Weddings and photographer Jason Collins Photography for sharing Emily and Greg’s special garden wedding ceremony in Virginia with us!
From the bride: My favorite wedding detail might have to be our wedding invitations. They were designed just for us by Freely Collective, a group of local artists (including one of my closest friends) dedicated to contributing their proceeds to charitable causes, such as prevention of human trafficking. They even created a custom wedding logo that I could use to tie together all of the paper goods, like the wedding ceremony programs and wedding welcome bags.
In the Washington DC area, we have the benefit of having an abundance of wedding vendor options, including everything from florists to caterers. United With Love was definitely helpful for seeing real examples of wedding vendors in action and to get some wedding day inspiration!
Congratulations to Emily and Greg! Thank you for sharing your graceful garden wedding ceremony with us! Stay tuned to see their stunning tented reception too!
