Welcome back to the second half of Holley and Robert’s old-world-meets-black-tie wedding in Virginia. (Before you go on, don’t miss their wedding ceremony and video trailer right here!) There’s no denying that Holley and Robert’s elegant wedding in Virginia isn’t short of gorgeous details: think personalized calligraphy place cards, luxe gold, tons of candlelight all planned to perfection by Ashley Baber Weddings. See it all captured by Jennifer Hughes right here (And don’t miss Holley’s advice to other couples planning a wedding in the DC area – it’s great advice and we couldn’t agree more!)
From Holley: In lieu of traditional place cards, we assigned each wedding guest a compliment or fun saying on their place card with their name stating anything from “Fabulous frock, Hadley” to “Save me some bourbon, Michael.” Ours said “Looking good, Holley” and “Feeling good, Bobby”!
Holley’s wedding planning advice for other DC-area couples:
Take in the moment after the wedding. We rode in a horse drawn carriage from the church to the hotel. We had a nice 30 minutes to ourselves to reflect and be excited just the two of us… and a bottle of champagne.
