Hanging fresh flowers, ornate settings and a stylish (and super cute!) couple are all the makings of a perfectly romantic wedding in Washington DC, don’t you think? Jordan and Justin infused their classic affair, planned by Bright Occasions, with personal details from sweet little embroideries on their attire to a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony all captured by Matt Mendelsohn Photography. And just wait ˜til you see that chuppah oh the flowers! I could seriously live under it.
From Jordan: I had a vision of understated elegance. I wanted everything to look sophisticated and clean. I chose simple decorations with a unique display.
Although my husband is not Jewish, he was completely supportive of us having a Jewish wedding. We spent a long time interviewing Rabbis to find someone who would marry us and celebrate our union in a way that made both of us comfortable. Rabbi Block did a great job making the wedding personal and keeping us happy and comfortable.
One of my favorite moments was the signing of the Ketubah. It was a very intimate moment during the wedding day with just immediate family and the bridal party witnessing us sign our commitment and love to one another.
The chuppah had only white flowers, but they were hung so they looked like they were floating in the air.
Thank you so much Jordan and Justin for sharing your wedding ceremony with us! Be sure to come back later this morning to see their reception. The following Washington DC area wedding professionals contributed to their wedding:
