December 22, 2014 admin

Good Monday morning to you, my lovely readers! If you weren’t in the holiday spirit (but who couldn’t be?) before, you surely will be after checking out Amanda and Aaron’s holiday inspired wedding in Virginia. With a love of the season and a venue all decked out for the season, this adorable duo said their “I Do’s” for a winter wedding with Amanda Adams Photography behind the lens to capture every sweet moment. Come back later this afternoon to see the holiday-inspired details of their wedding reception!

From Amanda: We love Christmas and everything about the look of Christmas. The lights, the colors…the whole thing! I wanted to keep things classic and timeless from finding the perfect historical site to using natural elements and subtle hints of the season. My all-time favorite book was the secret garden growing up so there are also little bits of that added in with skeleton keys and the little ring bearer book I made.

In my family we always put a penny in our shoe for good luck on our special days so that was of course a must. My grandparents lost one of their children when she was just a young girl. Her name was Penny so in a way we were raised to see a penny as a sign that our little guardian angel is looking out for us.

I made the ring bearer book because I knew I didn’t want to use a pillow. I will admit it was very hard cutting into an old book. I kept feeling like a librarian somewhere was going to catch me. I was so pleased with the final product. It was lined with moss and just fit the simple nature of our wedding so well.
