I’ll just go ahead and say that hosting a brunch wedding is pure genius. Does it get any better than morning vows followed by an omelet buffet and a coffee hour with your grandmother’s famous cookies? I think not. Margaret and Christian followed their traditional wedding ceremony with an intimate brunch affair crafted by their nearest and dearest and coordinated by Capitol Romance Wedding Coordination. It’s a day of pure winter wedding perfection all captured by Katie DeLorme Photography.
From Christian: We decided to have a Sunday brunch wedding because we both go to bed early (a side effect of triathlon training!) and breakfast is our favorite meal of the day! We started with coffee hour and Grandma cookies – homemade cookies from Christian’s grandmother are a staple at all of the grandchildren’s weddings and family holidays.
For decorations, we hung up old running and triathlon race bibs and had pictures of us as children scattered throughout the venue.
I would can jam every summer with my mom, a tradition Christian and I continue today, so we canned applesauce as wedding favors!
