Monday mornings are made for cozying up and swooning over some pretty wedding inspiration, and we’ve got just the perfect wedding to kick things off! Samira and Chad’s intimate fall wedding in Virginia is bursting at the seams with pretty. From the lush floral design to the dreamy garden ceremony setting, I can’t be sure of what my favorite detail of their vintage-inspired day is! Rebekah J. Murray Photography was on hand to capture their traditional Persian ceremony and every sweet moment after! Don’t forget to come back later this morning to see their outdoor reception and fab DIY lighting!
From Samira: Our vision was for our guests to feel like they were at an intimate and elegant party. We also wanted it to be romantic and soft with a touch of vintage. We grew up from very different backgrounds and cultures and have come together as one. It was important to us to incorporate our cultures into the wedding and create our own version of the perfect wedding.
Being an interior designer, planning and picking the style and color scheme of the wedding were the easy part for me. I knew from the beginning exactly what I wanted and how I wanted everything to look like. Succulents are my favorite plant and played an important role in creating my romantic color scheme. The scheme consisted of blush pink, ivory, greens, and a touch of purple.
Our wedding was a beautiful mix of culture and the most magnificent day of my life. Our family and vendors worked tirelessly to make our wedding day the best day of our lives, and we could not possibly think of more talented, inspiring people to have around us on that big day and in our lives.
It was very important to me to infuse some Persian cultural traditions into our wedding. The traditional Persian ceremony took place by the reflecting pool overlooking the beautiful gardens of the mansion. My mother did all the design and execution of the ceremony table. This was the most challenging aspect of planning our wedding, mainly because we had to source all supplies, and of course, make it go with our wedding theme! My mother had spent a lot of time planning it so it meant a lot to me.
Thank you so much Samira and Chad for sharing your wedding ceremony with us! Be sure to come back later this morning to see their reception. The following Washington DC area wedding professionals contributed to their wedding:
