True story: Washington DC area garden weddings make me melt every single time! There is just something so lovely and romantic about saying I do among the lucious blooms. Case in point? Bridgette and Bruce’s intimate wedding ceremony with Vness Photography on hand to capture every beautiful moment. Tudor Place in Georgetown set the scene for this lovely garden affair where bubbly was popped immediately following their vows for a champagne toast!
From Bridgette: Our wedding was an intimate affair, set during the heart of fall, with 60 of our closest friends and loved ones in attendance. The ceremony was performed in Georgetown, DC, set amidst the beautiful gardens of Tudor Place.
“Quaint elegance” was what we were striving to maintain for our wedding, so it was important to find ways to subtly enhance the beautiful environments that we were going to be in, without taking away from any of the natural beauty and charm.
A close friend was helping with wedding day logistics and duties, which included overseeing the station where the champagne toast that would take place, located within the gardens of Tudor Place and directly after the ceremony. Keeping an ever vigilant ear on the ceremony, she popped the first bottle immediately after the final “I do” was said! Now, every time we hear a champagne bottle being opened, we are brought back to that cherished moment of exchanging our vows.
