Summer Ballroom Wedding Ceremony on Baltimore’s Waterfront: Saras + Stephen
January 6, 2014 admin

Hey there DMV wedding lovers! I hope that you had an amazing holiday season and an even better ring to the new year! We are starting off 2014 with Sarah and Stephen’s gorgeous summer wedding in Baltimore. They focused on ensuring that their guests had an incredible time! I believe Sarah described it as wanting to have “one giant dance party” with their closets family and friends. They embraced the season using a bright palette of orange and green to decorate the Four Seasons hotel ballroom on the inner harbor with Jennifer from egomedia photography there to capture it all, including Sarah’s stunning flower crown!

From Sarah: The vision for our wedding evolved during the planning process. Most importantly, we wanted to be surrounded by the people we love the most in the world. Our goal was to give guests an amazing dining experience, an epic dance party and a night off to enjoy and feel the love. My wedding planner, Beth Bailey, directed me to fantastic vendors that helped me refine my ideas along the way.

From Sarah: I created the wedding programs, which described the “something borrowed, something blue, something old and something new” on the back page. Each item was given to me by a woman in my family. My Grandmother allowed me to borrow her beautiful diamond bracelet, my Mother loaned me her sapphire ring, my Mother-in-law gave me a cross necklace to carry in my clutch and my maternal Grandmother gave me earrings. Another unique part of our wedding was the ceremony music, which consisted of only a piano. We asked our friend, Mauro, of the indie-rock band Porcelian Raft, to play John Lennon’s, “Love”. And I felt pretty cool walking down the aisle to “Fake Empire,” by The National.
