We cannot get enough of Patty and David’s day-after wedding portraits in St. Michaels. (You may remember this gorgeous couple from their garden-inspired wedding and wedding reception on the Eastern Shore that we featured not too long ago! ) I mean, when you are on the Eastern Shore, why not take advantage of the incredible views! Our editor, Juli, was married in St. Michael’s, so we have a bit of a soft spot this gorgeous little town in Maryland! With Paige Elizabeth Photography Patty and David went to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and a few spots around town. I adore day after sessions who could pass up the chance to rock your newlywed status, capture missed moments and, of course, wear your bridal gown again!? But we’ll let Patty tell you more about day-after portraits…
From Patty: The day after our wedding, my husband and I did an Unbridal photo shoot with the amazing Paige Elizabeth. We chose to take our photos around the town of St. Michaels, at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum overlooking the water and at a sweet little ice cream shop on Talbot Street. It was fun way to enjoy the town together since we really weren’t able to do that during the busy days leading up to our wedding.
From Patty: I know it may seem kind of silly to take MORE photos after a day that has been totally documented, but I encourage you to think about it in a different perspective. The day after your wedding, you’re relaxed and the nerves are gone. You’re not worried about your hair getting messed up in a gust of wind or your makeup rubbing off on your groom’s collar. It doesn’t matter if your train gets torn and tattered and you’re certainly not worried about adhering to the strict wedding-day timeline. You are purely and simply, blissfully in love on your first day as a married couple.
Thank you so much Patty and David for sharing your day-after the wedding photos with us. They are too cute! Don’t forget you can see their garden-inspired wedding and wedding reception on the Eastern Shore that we featured not too long ago.
