Are you ready for part two of Patty and David’s romantic wedding in Maryland on the Eastern Shore?? If you missed their outdoor, waterfront wedding ceremony be sure to check it out first. After a few pictures with Paige Elizabeth Photography, they headed to a outdoor cocktail hour and then to an indoor, garden-inspired reception with their friends and family where they brought the outdoors in with soft florals and elegant touches. They not only had cake, but also pie! What’s not to love?!
From Patty: Weddings truly are a labor of love; both in the spiritual and emotional sense and also in the physical sense! Lots of love went into every detail of our wedding. I couldn’t have pulled this off without my amazing wedding planner, Kelley. And our photographer, Paige, will always have a special place in my heart. My dad built us the cutest directional sign and helped make sure my french-door vision for our ceremony backdrop was executed perfectly!
From Patty: My husband helped me make our table numbers and assemble the welcome bags for our out-of-town guests all while serving as our strict family treasurer. My sweet cousin, Katie, worked for months with my husband to design and make my engagement ring! She also helped us with our wedding bands and my wedding jewelry. I could go on and on¦. However, my favorite detail of the weekend was that my little sister performed our first dance song. It was such a special moment and I will be forever grateful.
Patty’s advice for other DC area couples planning a wedding:
Always start the planning process with your budget! Don’t do anything else before you have that in place. Then, hire a wedding planner. I can’t tell you how invaluable Kelley Cannon was to me the year of planning our wedding. As an event planner myself, I know the benefits of having a professional help you but I also knew that I’d want to be involved. Kelley did a great job of keeping me focused, as close to within budget as possible and also doing everything she could to make my vision come to life! The day of the wedding went off without a hitch. I could sit back, relax and just have fun!
As a special bonus, we have their wedding trailer from In Depth Photo and Video. I challenge you not to cry! Their vows got me pretty good!
