If you put yourself in the “DIY-challenged” category for your wedding, then I challenge you to mess up today’s project! Carina at Little Bird Creative made an awesome and really modern FREE printable of the iconic Washington DC monuments. I printed it out on a sheet of sticky paper, attached it to a box full of macarons and viola – an easy way to present your guests with little sweet treat at the end of the night. You can fill the boxes with just about anything, or how about putting one at each place setting!? Or, forget the sweets, you could use the stickers to cover up a water bottle! You can download the free Washington DC monuments printable tags for free right here, or contact Carina to have her customize the stickers for your wedding. I was thinking these would look really awesome a little bit bigger as table numbers! The idea are endless!
Here is how I did it…
Boxes (I used foldable boxes from Paper Source)
Full sheet of sticky paper (makes 6 stickers)
Treats (I used macarons from Macaron Bee in Georgetown.)
Printable of Washington DC skyline or contact Carina to customize the printable for your wedding.
Print out stickers onto sticky paper. With scissors or paper cutter, cut out each sticker individually. Fold boxes together according to package directions. Fill the boxes with treats. (I used vanilla and lemon macarons from Macaron Bee!) Wrap each box a few times around in baker’s twine. Peel sticker away from paper backing and place sticker over box on top of baker’s twine to secure box and twine.
