I’m a little in love with how Katharine described her Virginia wedding to Brad, captured by Kristen Gardner Photography… “Prep-tastic”! They said “I do” at Belmont Country Club and their wedding was most definitely classic (think a ceremony overflowing with white blooms), with a side of prep (think striped ties). White, navy and pops of green make a perfect fall palette for those of you looking for a non-traditional alternative. Just take a look!
From Katharine: I would describe our wedding as timeless, classic, and prep-tastic. Brad is very preppy and loves history and I wanted a classic and beautiful outdoor space that speaks for itself and that you don’t have to dress up. We didn’t want super causal, but didn’t want to be super fancy either. As for the color palette I didn’t want your typical fall color scheme. We came up with using our favorite colors, blue for me, and green for Brad, with touches of white and cream.
In Germany the bride is the only one in white or cream so our flower girl wore a blue dress that was similar to the bridemaids’ dresses. My favorite detail would be wearing my mom’s veil.
My favorite memory was our first look. Brad was so handsome and had me laughing the whole time even though it was freezing outside at the beginning of October.
