If you’re still on a New Year’s diet, you may not want to scroll to the bottom of this post! Why? Because Laurie and Dave had a dessert bar to end all dessert bars at their reception! (Psst…Did you see their wedding ceremony at home from Borrowed Blue Photography?) Yet another wedding I wish I could have attended! And their wedding memories will be lasting long past those treats were devoured, thanks to their very special guest book. Check it out!
From Laurie: Instead of a guest book, we bought three empty wine bottles on Etsy for $3 apiece. Madeline from MLC Designs made us 1, 5, and 10 year anniversary tags to hang from the neck of each bottle, and I bought a bunch of thick paper and cut it into thin strips. We instructed the guests to write us notes and stick them in the bottles for us to read on the corresponding anniversary. Each bottle is filled and now we can’t wait to read what each guest wrote us!
Laurie’s advice to other DC-area couples:
Surround yourself with exceptional vendors. This is key! Having competent, knowledgeable, and friendly vendors really takes the stress out of planning. If possible, hire a wedding coordinator! Diana was amazing and became a friend to Dave and I throughout the 14-month process. We love her!
