Now that we’ve made it through the holidays and the inauguration, who’s ready for spring!? I am and today’s Maryland wedding from Meredith Hanafi Photography isn’t helping! Erika and Sam wanted a wedding that perfectly fit their April date and they certainly chose the right venue, Woodend Sanctuary. Their day was filled with soft pinks and whimsical details (Check out how they jazzed up the ceremony chairs!) that I just can’t get enough of! Come back in a bit for more of this wedding that is sure to give you spring fever!
From Erika: Our wedding: Spring, simple, and small enough for us to focus on each other and our friends and family.
Our favorite memory was seeing each other for the first time – we were on a high for the rest of the day.
We wanted to include traditions that were familiar to both sides of the family, which included breaking the glass and having both sets of parents walk us down the aisle. Sam’s family read a modified version of the seven blessings.
We did a mixture of DIY and hiring vendors, and it seemed to be a great mix – resulting in a great portrayal of us! I loved how the ribbons my friends tied on the back of the chairs at the ceremony flowed in the wind.
