Chesapeake Bay Wedding Ceremony: Kelly + Robert

Grab your sunglasses, because we are headed to the bay today. The Cheaspeake Bay, that is! It may be wintertime around the Washington DC area, (and I’m sure the bay is super cold!) but there is nothing like a lovely summer wedding to pull us out of the winter funk! This wedding goes to show that sometimes you don’t need an elaborate color palette, not when a single pop of color is this beautiful!

From Kelly: From the beginning I knew I wanted a classy wedding. I used robin’s egg blue and white satin as my inspiration for everything in our wedding–from the invitations and programs, to the bridesmaid’s dresses, garter, table decor, and lighting. I tried to incorporate this theme in all visual aspects of our wedding–everything was blue and white.

My favorite moment was our first glance. My husband, Bobby, was standing in the grass by himself staring out into the Chesapeake Bay. I tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around to see me in my dress, and he looked at me the way I’d always imagined my husband would. Other than being the most romantic, happy moment of my life, it also allowed both of us to relax before the ceremony.
