Natural Woodland Wedding Ideas
October 18, 2012 admin

Over the last few weeks, local designer and planner Danielle Couick of Magnolia Bluebird design & events has shared tons of gorgeous details with a wedding inspiration series [Missed any? See: bohemian chic, romantic garden and succulent floral designs] and sadly, all good things must come to an end. Lucky for us, Danielle and her team of local wedding pros are ending things with a bang and bringing you ideas straight from the garden! Geoff Chesman Visuals was on hand to capture all the texture and greenery in this romantic woodland wedding inspiration filled with fresh, vibrant and organic elements. And, how much are we loving those moss covered letters!?

From Danielle: This “natural elegance” table is for a sophisticated bride and groom, the couple celebrating an anniversary or the individual that wants to host a classic al fresco dinner party. For an all-natural tablescape we worked with EDGE Floral and used a variety of glassware filled with variegated leaves, potted ferns, dried forest mushrooms, lotus pods and decorative balls all anchored by ivory beeswax candles atop massive wooden candlesticks finished with a gold patina. The goal was to use natural elements in greens and neutrals allowing the textural elements to be the main focus.

Cork chargers with a dark stain created just the right amount of contrast between our contemporary white square dinner plates and the custom made slate table. Reidel glassware, crisp white hemstitch linen napkins and mahogany and silver flatware add sophistcation and a formal feel to a otherwise natural tablescape.

Our favorite element on this table were the burned table number, menu board and place cards. In keeping with our natural feel, we used sliced wood plaques and burned the details in. The place cards also act as a favor for guests and could easily be used as a coaster. Our giant moss word keeps everyone informed of the reason they are gathered.
