If you didn’t believe me when I said that orange made it’s real grand entrance after Shelley and William’s downtown Washington DC wedding eremony, now you will! Along with guidance from Cherry Blossom Events, they utilized what their venue already had to build a truly modern and bright reception. I also happen to be a fan of their dessert bar, and their late night snack burgers and fries! They certainly succeeded at creating the lounge atmosphere they hoped for, and I’m sure every guest appreciated those extra treats!
From Shelley: We wanted delicious food and a great party! We tasted a lot and thought long and hard about our menu. We also concentrated on adding furniture and decor that gave the reception more of a lounge feel.
Shelley’s advice to other DC-area couples:
Hiring a wedding planner was the best decision we made while planning our wedding. Without family in the area to help and my lack of DIY skills, our wedding planner actually made planning a wedding fun and dare I say-easy! Her guidance was priceless. I think choosing a great photographer is one of the best decisions you can make. Now that the excitement of the wedding is over, the pictures are what you are left with. We are so happy to have such fantastic works of art that capture the emotions of that day.
