Bohemian Wedding Ideas
September 27, 2012 admin

If you are looking for some lush and elegant ideas for wedding decor, then today starts a series that you’ll want to follow over the next few weeks. Local designer and wedding planner Danielle Couick, owner of Magnolia Bluebird design & events, put together a few different wedding design concepts for us to feast our eyes on! She worked with a super star team of local wedding vendors, as well as Geoff Chesman Visuals to pull it all together.

Today, we are kicking it off with ideas for the Bohemian brides and grooms out there! If you are looking to add a little wild child to your nuptials, then join us on an amazing photo journey filled with romance and a free-spirited ambiance! These undeniably gorgeous wedding decor ideas pair eclectic details and a bold color palette for boho-chic wedding inspiration.

From Danielle: This concept was created to give the hosts the ability to bring friends and family together over a great meal and relaxed conversation. Laidback and relaxed, a fusion of all things colorful and delicious. A tasting menu of small plates and nosh on the table. Bright colors mixed with muted hues, a heavily textured design showcased through a mix of metal, glass and textiles.

The centerpiece was comprised of a mixture of metal lanterns with strong color, a variety of unique glassware, and terracotta pots. Vases of single blooms with various shapes and heights give dimension to the table and glass apothecary jars with clementines add a DIY element and a big pop of color.

Our choice of linen showcases the wildly popular ikat pattern and a shimmery organza underlay dresses the table up a bit and adds another element of dimension. The menu cards feature the ombre trend with another DIY statement. We designed our menu card, printed them on watercolor paper and used watercolor paint to pull the orange and teal color scheme through.
