Welcome back for Jackie and Kendall’s all-white wedding reception in Frederick from Jessica Fike Photography, in their already colorful art gallery location. (Check out their wedding ceremony, too!) They kept their floral arrangements low, simple and diverse and brought in a lot of DIY projects, from the table numbers to the guest book! And you know it was a good party when it ended with apple butter favors. Yum!
From Kira: We planned our entire wedding from Texas! We went home during Christmas break in 2010, searched for a venue for two days.. booked it, and then the rest was planed from Texas! I My husband searched for wood to make the table number holders and escort card holders the week we flew home for our wedding, so he was woodworking two days before.
Our flowers were gorgeous and I wanted them to be eclectic and low so that people could have conversation and mingle… not slide over because they couldn’t see through a gigantic centerpiece.
My brother designed all of our paper goods.. invitations, programs, and even our guest book.
Jackie’s advice to other DC-area couples:
You don’t have to get married at a mansion to have a beautiful, unique wedding. The Delaplaine Arts Center was really what made our wedding what it was… the event coordinator was truly passionate about her job and wanting to make our day special. There are plenty of people out there that like to do weddings with out a price, you just have to find them!
