There is something so classic and wonderful about a black tie wedding. With tuxedos (Navy in this case!), floor length gowns (these courtesy of Garnish Boutique) and an air of sophistication, you really can’t go wrong. Exhibit A: Robyn and Victor’s intimate, formal Maryland wedding from EyeWonder Photography. Their striking color palette of navy and orange popped against The Mansion at Strathmore as their backdrop. With a tight-knit family in attendance, custom handkerchief favors came in handy, and made a perfect keepsake from the day. Be sure to stop by later for their reception!
From Robyn: Our wedding was classic and filled with love, support and fun; which was our vision. My favorite color is navy, and I LOVE orange roses, which ended up being our colors and wedding flower. The ladies wore beautiful tangerine dresses by Anne Elyse (from Garnish Boutique) and the gentlemen wore navy tuxedos. It was a small black tie evening wedding. We celebrated with 100 of our closest friends and family members all dressed in their finest.
We had great favors. During the ceremony each guest received a handkerchief with an embroidered R; orange for the brides side, and navy for the grooms. Our families are HUGE cry babies; it came in handy.
We jumped the broom along with the traditional wedding pomp and circumstance. Since our mothers (and families, despite the 3000 miles that separates us) are close, together they placed the broom before us and hugged us each symbolizing the union of the families.
