It’s time to hit you with another dose (Did you miss the ceremony?) of vibrant red with Erinn and Kyle’s Washington DC wedding reception. The pops of color continued, this time amongst a modern venue with soaring ceilings, and a crowd ready to let loose and have fun! Though I have to say, their delectable cake (chocolate covered strawberries on a cake!?) and awesome getaway may be my favorite parts! If I had to choose, of course.
Probably the most memorable part was something we had no control over–the weather! It snowed in DC in October, which was a great way to start our marriage–sending the message that, despite your best wedding planning, it’s impossible to control everything: the best approach is to embrace the adventure.
Erinn’s advice to other DC-area couples:
I think some of the best advice came from our photographer about a week before the wedding. She said that a successful wedding contains two essential elements: detailed planning in the preceding months, then banishing all of the details from your mind during the last week in order to enjoy the special time with each other, your family, and friends.
