A Baseball Themed Wedding at Nationals Park (Part 1)
April 4, 2012 admin

If you’re a baseball fan, I certainly don’t have to tell you that opening day is tomorrow! So before you get wrapped up in the games, and to get you pumped for the first at bat, we’re sharing a wedding of every baseball-lovers dreams! Did you know you can hold your nuptials at Nationals Park? That’s exactly what today’s couple did, taking full advantage of all this unique venue had to offer. They said “I do” above home plate and then hit the batting cages before dinner, in this non-traditional but oh-so-memorable big day from Ralph Alswang Photography and Bellwether Events. And, the best part? This is only part one of the fun (Check out part two right here)!

From Janice of Bellwether Events: The couple chose to get married at the Washington Nationals baseball stadium because they wanted a venue that their 100 closest friends and family would thoroughly enjoy and never forget. When guests arrives at Nats Park, they were greeted with a table of pennant flags, pom poms and light-up rings, setting the tone for the cheerful and fun-filled event to follow. Guests sat in the stands for the ceremony on the Lexus President’s Club patio, directly behind home plate.

The couple sealed their ceremony with a pinkie swear and a kiss. The guests then hit the batting cages!

Thanks a lot for listing the vendors included in this unique wedding. It was definitely one of the more unusual but memorable wedding spots I’ve played in.

Heather & Jeff really hit it out of the park! They also made great use of the jumbotron. It was so much fun to work with Janice and her team and to craft a special ceremony for Heather & Jeff – without the above corny cliche.
