The venue choice, Sugarloaf Mountain, was the most significant source of inspiration for Andrew and Christine’s beautiful garden wedding. This was the first place they visited when they started dating! With beautiful hiking trails, the Strong Mansion, and carriage house, the location created the perfect pretty in pink wedding atmosphere. “Stay in the moment, savor everything about the day and shrug off the things that don’t go exactly as planned since they are bound to happen,” encourages Christine to new brides. Some of those fear-inducing unexpected moments are actually what makes a big day even more special—cue the impromptu lily pond frog chorus! We love this advice because naturally, things don’t always go as planned on a wedding day, like the loud frog songs that accompanied the ceremony. The best thing to do is laugh and continue on, which this couple definitely did during their Sugarloaf Mountain wedding.
We love that this couple chose to incorporate different DIY elements that our readers can easily recreate. Although Andrew had just started a new job and they were in the process of buying a house, they still chose to DIY. This proves that anyone can do it! Andrew and Christine made all of the wedding program fans and escort cards in cute vintage key holders themselves. Thank you to Turner Photography for sharing this beautiful pink garden wedding with us today!
