Washington D.C. has so many beautiful restaurants and unique non-traditional wedding venues for couples to escape to for intimate wedding elopements. Today’s wedding elopement inspiration took place at DCanter, located in D.C.’s bustling Eastern Market area; it’s perfect for an elopement because it offers a beautiful tasting room for smaller events. We love the look of the romantic florals from Fifty Flowers and Designs by Oochay and the vintage place settings that covered their cozy dining tables.
Pink depression glassware, gold flatware, and pearl napkin rings (that tied in with the brides gown!) were used to create a bright romantic look that didn’t compete with the focal point of the room, the purple chandelier. Wine inspired elements such as the favor bar and the watercolor tones used on the cake and stationery brought in a modern edge to this vintage glam shoot. Just because elopements are traditionally smaller, more intimate events does not mean that the details have to fall to the wayside. Creating a personal moment for your closest friends and family is key! Thank you to Katy Murray Photography for sharing this special elopement with us today!
