You know we love our fall season here in the DC area! Today’s wedding inspiration is a chic and moody fall wedding inspiration from Annapolis-based Intrigue Design and her team of Washington DC area wedding professionals. The talented group got together in Annapolis, Maryland to create a look befitting of a moody, fall wedding on the East Coast. With dramatic black wedding invitations, pumpkin details in the bouquets and centerpieces, and even masks and clocks as props along the long dinner tables, this would-be event is full of creative ways to weave in new ideas into your big wedding day! I love the sophisticated, feathered bridal bouquets paired with tiny paper touches that pop off the table, like place cards tucked into the forks! Even hand-painted pumpkins with guests names made an appearance as an added personal touch to the harvest and fall wedding theme. The black linens would be perfect in a holiday fete, the gold chargers and flatware are ideal for any fall or winter wedding, and the purple hues soften the look just enough for a romantic rehearsal dinner or formal wedding reception in the Washington DC area or anywhere! If you want a rich wedding look this season, then look no further than all this fabulousness! A special thanks to Washington DC area wedding photographer, Carly Fuller Photography for sharing these beautiful fall wedding idea images!
From Sarah at Intrigue Design about the unique decor florals used: For this wedding inspiration, we used elements such as Black Flox, Brain Celosia, Agonias, Carnivorous Trumpets, Blood Astilbe, Amnesia Roses and accented by dried Lotus Pods and Ghost Pumpkins. The deep tones highlighted the feel of the bouquets, bringing out the black hues and eggplant shades that are so rarely seen in bridal bouquets. The classic styling finished the look of the tablescape with delicate paper details including escort cards set neatly in the fork and a menu card paired with decorated apples with shimmering sugar art.
