Kate and Sam hosted their Washington DC wedding at the beautiful Meridian House, where they celebrated in a formal indoor wedding ceremony. Kate and Sam live in Hawaii so this was a destination wedding to say the least! They embraced their culture and a few fabulous traditions that made their wedding ceremony that much more personal. Kate’s two wedding dresses were so stunning on the beautiful blushing bride and Sam looked smitten and oh-so dapper in his black tuxedo on the big day. Their wedding ceremony was inside and the beautiful floral work of Petal’s Edge brought out many organic and natural elements to really warm the formal space with love. We also love the photos by Documentary Associates, thank you for sharing each touching moment! We are event starting out with a few photos from their wedding engagement session where they donned traditional Korean attire.
From Kate about her favorite elements of the day: Having all our best friends and family come from all over the world, just to support and celebrate with us on our wedding as we became a new family. We felt so loved and so lucky.
Among the more material aspects, I loved our wedding ceremony processional. In the car a few weeks before the wedding, Sam played a cover of “Halo” by AneBrun, and we settled on it immediately!
Congratulations to Kate and Sam! Thank you for sharing your indoor, formal Washington DC wedding ceremony with us! Stay tuned, up next we’re sharing their lovely wedding reception, complete with long wedding tables!
