What’s more perfectly preppy than a navy and pink striped bridal shower brunch!? This beautiful bridal shower, captured by Washington DC area wedding photographer Kurstin Roe, has all the pre-big day details that a bride could ask for! You might remember that earlier this morning we featured a colorful, Greek inspired rehearsal dinner at Kapnos Taverna, in Arlington, Virginia. Now, we are back with a totally transformed space, but this time we are focusing on the bride for her bridal shower. It is incredible what a change of decor and flowers and scene-setting invitations can do for the same space. When it comes to planning a bridal shower, or your rehearsal dinner, consider your favorite restaurant. See if they have a private space or even a large table that you can reserve. (For this shower, they used the chef’s table and it was perfect!) With some thoughtful styling, you can personalize any space while sharing your favorite foods with your friends and family!
For this modern, yet girly, bridal shower, the paper goods truly set the tone. The unique patterns on the bridal shower invitations from The Dandelion Patch include a Greek nod to the shower venue. Then the details on the place settings – like custom placemats with each guest’s name in calligraphy by Meant To Be Calligraphy, and the pops of pretty bright pink and fuschia flowers – are enough to make us wish we had an invite to this fabulous fete! The backdrop for this bridal shower was the long chef’s table at Kapnos Taverna while designer and DMV wedding caterer Mike Isabella Concepts used the white marble table top as a base for the design as they embraced the nautical feeling of the setting around the restaurant. Jordan almonds served as the traditional Greek favor for this bridal shower – proving that each and every stunning detail was designed with personality and intention. What a way for a bride to be showered with love!
What gorgeous ideas for a pretty in pink (plus navy) bridal shower brunch! You can never go wrong with stripes and pops of color when celebrating one of the lovely ladies in your life! (And, if you are looking for more, don’t forget to go back and check out this same space set up for a colorful wedding rehearsal dinner.)
