Good Monday morning, wedding lovers! Today, we are sharing a caffeine-free jolt of DC wedding pretty to kick off your work week off you can thank us later! There was no shortage of personal touches for Elizabeth and Graham’s Washington DC wedding all beautifully captured by Venessa of Studio Juno. One part simplicity and another part modern, this intimate wedding is worth a sweet, long look. We’ll let Graham tell you more about their wedding day inspiration¦
From Graham: We wanted our wedding to feel like us. We were hoping to strike a tone that was relaxed, warm, and conducive to having fun. That’s part of how we ended up at Arena – it’s not stuffy, and it’s so modern and colorful that it lends itself to making it your own. It also made Elizabeth feel at home ditching the veil and putting orchids in her hair.
We tried to include as many people who are special to us in our day. So we had friends of ours, a married couple who we’d lived with for a while, write the ceremony and marry us. We also had friends who know us well as a couple write poems for us for the ceremony, and then we had a Quaker meeting where we all sat in silence and guests were invited to stand and share their thoughts.
Thank you so much Elizabeth and Graham for sharing your wedding ceremony with us! Don’t forget to come back later this morning to see their reception. The following Washington DC area wedding professionals contributed to their wedding:
