Everything about Dorie and Mark’s wedding in Maryland is just stunning! They embraced the fall season with a very sophisticated navy, lavender and orange palette, and, of course, focused on what mattered to them: the food! Since their ceremony and reception were in the same venue, I love how their wedding event designer, Terri, was able to help them create very distinctive and beautiful spaces. And, when you have Jennifer from Love Life Images there capturing every last detail, need I say more?! Simple stunning!
From Dorie: We chose to honor the fall by choosing navy as our main color with lavender and soft orange as accents. Terri suggested making the three areas of the wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception,) which were all in the same building look distinct. We did a very simple outdoor inspired ceremony with a beige burlap runner, a branched chuppa which was dotted with white orchids. Small lights were draped from the canopy and lanterns with lights were on the main bimah. My sister, who was the maid of honor, had some purple accents in her bouquet.
