You can’t think of the quintessential Washington DC wedding and not think of The Hay Adams hotel, with its historic charm and amazing views of the White House and the Mall. Rebecca and Jason had a beautiful springtime wedding at the Hay Adams with rustic farm and garden details to create a relaxed, but elegant environment for their guests. With Andrew from Connor Studios and Elizabeth Duncan Events, this classic DC wedding doesn’t disappoint. (And don’t forget to come back later this morning to see their reception too!)
From Rebecca: The most important thing to us was to have a reception that was fun for everyone and representative of us as a couple. But, it was hard at first to articulate what, exactly, would represent us as a couple! That’s where our wonderful planner, Elizabeth, came in. She helped us make an evening that beautiful and felt like us. We had books and family photos to decorate the space, for example. It was just lovely.
More from Rebecca: My earrings were my mother’s mother’s and the gorgeous broach on my bouquet belonged to my father’s mother. During the ceremony, Jason and I were wrapped in tallit from his family (in which he was bar mitzvahed) and from mine.
So pretty! Thank you so much Rebecca and Jason! Come back in a little bit for part two of their reception. The following Washington DC area wedding vendors contributed to Rebecca and Jason’s wedding:
